Crews from the Brookfield Fire Department were dispatched to a home fire around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday night.
The fire was deemed under control at 7:41 p.m. Officials say it started in the kitchen.
Officials say it left one person hospitalized and four pets deceased.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
