Our brief break from winter's wrath continues for now. Tuesday was another day were parts of western Connecticut rose above freezing. Bridgeport saw a high temperature of 33 degrees, but that was enough to see more minor snow and ice melt.
Watch for any refreezing tonight, as temperatures drop back into the teens. There is also a risk of flurries or isolated snow showers as a weak cold front slides through the area.
The next couple of days won't be too cold with highs near freezing, but we do dip into the danger zone again for the weekend. The cold temperature pattern isn't letting go for good. An Arctic front will deliver the colder air with winds that can gust 30-45+ mph. There is also a chance of seeing some snow Friday.
That's when we'll see high temperatures during the day only reach the middle teens, but it will feel like it's near zero. At night will be the worst part of this, overnight wind chills can fall as low as 15 to -25 degrees.
