Two separate jet ski incidents prompted emergency responses along the Connecticut coast Wednesday afternoon.
The first incident happened around 5:11 p.m. near Chimon Island in Norwalk when a jet ski overturned with two people in the water.
Marine Unit officers responded and found both men near the vessel. They were safely rescued but were showing early signs of hypothermia.
Norwalk paramedics evaluated both individuals, who were found to have no serious injuries.
A second Marine Unit vessel later returned to the area to recover the sunken jet ski.
Shortly after that rescue, a separate incident was reported near Goose Island in Stratford.
Officials say a jet ski was seen emitting smoke, prompting a response from Norwalk Marine officers assisting Westport authorities.
When crews arrived, they confirmed the operator was already safe aboard a nearby boat.
No injuries were reported in that incident, as the rider never entered the water.
