A possible sale of the Connecticut Sun to a Boston group for $325 million is facing pushback from the WNBA.
ESPN reports the league asked the team to consider a $250 million offer from a Cleveland-based group instead.
The WNBA issued a statement saying it controls franchise relocation decisions and Boston would not receive priority over other cities that previously applied for expansion.
The team also received a $325 million offer that would move the Sun to Hartford, but the league says it would deny that move as well.
