Norwalk police are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday.
Police say a man was hit by a car near the intersection of Main Street and Plymouth Avenue just after 10 p.m.
They say the driver immediately left the scene and did not stop or check on the man, who was left on the side of the road and bleeding. He was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the car involved is a blue Subaru Forester and was last seen traveling north on Main Avenue.

The vehicle has damage on its front passenger side, including damage to the front passenger-side headlight assembly, and is missing the passenger-side mirror. Authorities also believe the vehicle does not have tinted windows on any side or rear windows.
