A Bridgeport man is in the hospital being treated for serious injuries after an accident in Bridgeport.

Police said the 43-year-old was riding a stand-up motorized scooter in the bike lane at Seaside Park’s West Beach when he lost control and fell, causing serious injuries.

Bridgeport fire officials and AMR responded to the scene and assisted the victim, who was later taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
