Connecticut has a dozen new judges on the bench after Gov. Ned Lamont officially swore them in Wednesday. Among them is Sean McGuinness, a former prosecutor in the Bridgeport State’s Attorney’s Office.
Lamont said he wants people to think about who is actually sitting on the bench and what experience they bring with them.
One nominee who did not make it through the process was Jeff Beckham, Lamont’s former budget director. Beckham withdrew his name after lawmakers pushed back on the nomination.
