On National Airborne Day, 94-year-old Wally McNulty of Darien is honoring the paratroopers he served with in World War II and the Korean War.
"They are heroes, one and all - and a lot of those guys never came home," McNulty said.
National Airborne Day honors the courage and sacrifice of paratroopers who jump out of airplanes into high-risk combat zones.
McNulty famously enlisted at age 13 by lying about his birthdate to fight in Germany, later saving 30 people from a burning building as a New York City bus driver in 1961.
