2 passengers thrown from car following high-speed crash in Norwalk
Two passengers were ejected from a car after it crashed at a high-rate of speed in Norwalk late Sunday afternoon, according to the City of Norwalk Fire Department.
Officials provided pictures of the mangled red SUV which collided with a guardrail near Connecticut Avenue and Elmhurst Terrace just after 5 p.m.
The fire department says the car continued for around 100 feet after after it struck the guardrail.
According to officials, firefighters had to rescue the car's driver who was left trapped inside the vehicle after the crash.
The passengers who were thrown from the car were found in the brush on the other side of the guardrail.
All three victims were rushed to Norwalk Hospital.
The extent of their injuries was still unknown as of Sunday night.
It was not immediately clear what led to the crash.
