The Wilton Police Department responded to a potential robbery in progress along School Road on Friday following information provided by the New Canaan Police Department.

Wilton police say the caller reported seeing several individuals wearing ski masks enter the property, causing the caller to fear for their safety.

Wilton officers received a second call that another car had been stolen.

The Wilton Police Department released a video of the incident.

Officers quickly converged in the area and later attempted to stop the suspect vehicles as they entered the town center.

Officers say they attempted to deploy tire deflation devices to stop the vehicle but determined it would create an unreasonable risk to the public.

Officers made the decision to discontinue the pursuit in the interest of public safety.
