The intense summer heat is impacting some businesses, even before we got to the worst parts of the day. Local favorite Rise Doughnut in Wilton was already planning on closing early, but then overnight, their air conditioning gave out. Some of the equipment stopped working by morning and by 9 a.m., they were out of donuts with no way to make more. With the staff also feeling it, they had no choice but to close up, and turn away more than one disappointed family. The business owner says they're going to try to get back open this weekend, but it just depends on when everything gets fixed.
