An update to a Milford homicide investigation identified the victims.

Milford Police state that Sandra Cooper, 69 years old, was shot in the head and is being treated for the gunshot wound at a local hospital. She was the one who called the police to report two men entering her home.

Her male companion, Frederick Werner, 69 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy performed yesterday revealed the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds and has been ruled a homicide.

Police believe this was a targeted incident and are still investigating the matter.
