Two people were injured following a crash between a minivan and scooter Tuesday in Bridgeport, city officials say.
It happened just after 4:30 p.m. at Chopsey Hill Road and Island Brooke Avenue Extension.
Officials say a 15-year-old on the scooter was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. A 19-year-old man who was a passenger on the scooter was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. It's not clear if the driver or anyone in the minivan was injured.
Officials add that a gun was also recovered at the scene.
Police believe the scooter was stolen Monday from the city's east side.
The intersection of Chopsey Hill Road and Island Brooke Avenue Extension remains closed Tuesday, and it's not clear when the road will reopen.
