Nine adults were displaced following a house fire at the 290 block of Cottage Street in Bridgeport.

They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Video of the fire shows multiple kittens being rescued.

The Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 8:46 p.m. on Saturday, according to fire officials.

A fire was located in the rear of the structure and was quickly extinguished.

The Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
