There's a feeling of love in the air at the Chapel Haven Schleifer Center (CHSC) in New Haven. Just ask Rich and Kim Lamanna, who have been married for 22 years, and met at Chapel Haven.

"I gave her flowers yesterday. They were delivered here, and she was literally crying," said Rich Lamanna.

CHSC is a transitional living program for adults with intellectual, developmental and social disabilities. They offer specialized Asperger treatment and educational programs for individuals with autism or cognitive disabilities.

"Our adults want a life no differently than any of us. And they have the absolute ability and capability to have a life of love and friendships and and fulfilled their dreams with the adequate support and education," said Michael Storz, CHSC president.

There are a total of five married couples at the Chapel Haven Schleifer Center. They're all adults with a range of developmental and social disabilities.

"I just love his personality and just the way he's so loving and he's such a gentleman," said Kim Lamanna.
