The New York Police Department arrested 23-year-old Alexander Stepnowsky, from Fairfield, in connection to raising a flag with a swastika on it over a campus building.
Stepnowsky raised the flag over a building dedicated to a Jewish school donor.
The Fairfield resident was arrested by police at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday and is facing charges of hate crime, burglary, aggravated harassment and criminal trespassing.
