A domestic violence incident in Meriden turned deadly Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and a suspect wounded after an officer-involved shooting.
Police responded to a home on Sagamore Road around 10 a.m.
Authorities say officers found one person dead at the scene.
According to Connecticut State Police, a Meriden police officer shot the suspect during the incident.
The suspect's condition has not been released.
The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General is reviewing the officer-involved shooting.
Meanwhile, the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Unit is leading the homicide investigation connected to the domestic violence call.
State police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
