Darien’s annual sidewalk sales are officially underway, with the first day of the three-day event launching Thursday morning with a kickoff breakfast at Ring’s End.
Shoppers can explore hubs across Darien, including The Corbin District, Grove Street Plaza and Darien Commons.
Pop-up vendors along Post Road and Day Street are offering everything from fashion and accessories to home décor and gifts.
Darien Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kesti Aysseh says the goal is to strengthen the connection between residents and local businesses.
“The Darien Chamber is all about educating the town, the community and the residents who live here to connect with the local stores and shop local instead of going to Amazon or a big box store,” Aysseh said. “We really want to influence them to choose a bookstore for your books or Darien Sport Shop for your clothes versus shopping online.”
The sidewalk sales run through Saturday.
