The state's largest food bank will be getting even bigger, just as the demand keeps growing.
Connecticut Foodshare broke ground Wednesday on a massive new warehouse in Wallingford.
The expansion will add over 34,000 square feet to the nonprofit's current facility, allowing the group to store twice as many fresh and frozen products.
Officials say the expansion will increase the food bank's dry storage by 40% to meet increasing demands.
Construction will take close to a year and half to complete.
