A man is facing charges after Stamford police discovered he was in possession of a stolen illegal firearm and drugs Wednesday night.

Around 10 p.m., narcotics and organized crime detectives were informed that Robert Walker, a convicted felon, had an illegal firearm and was near Spruce Street.

Police say when Walker left a high-rise apartment at 72 Spruce St., he was taken into custody.

Officers found Walker with a Glock 43 that was stolen during a car break-in that occurred in Berkeley, South Carolina in May 2023. Walker also had a mason jar which contained 270 grams of PCP.

He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, illegal transfer of a firearm and possession of a hallucinogenic substance

Walker's bond was set at $150,000 and he was arraigned Thursday morning.
