Gov. Ned Lamont signed two new laws Wednesday to support local family farms.
Farms can now receive a 20% tax credit to buy new machinery, including drones to seed crops.
Farmers will also be eligible for state grants to purchase land under the new legislation.
"We are working heroically to raise a crop and offer the best quality produce to the state. We face enormous challenges from all sides," said Robert Chang, owner of Echo Farm.
