Over 500 children in Stamford received a head start on back-to-school shopping but did not pay a cent for their new school gear.
The 11th annual "Back to School Shop" allowed children from lower-income families to pick out clothes, shoes, backpacks and school supplies.
Organizers collected cash to buy all brand-new items.
This gave the children a chance to truly browse and pick out items especially for them.
