Joulane Cyril, a 57-year-old Bridgeport mother, says a broken elevator has left her family trapped in their upper-floor apartment for four months.

Cyril is the sole caregiver for her quadriplegic son with cerebral palsy and her disabled 85-year-old mother.

The prolonged outage has prevented both family members from leaving the building for necessary medical care.

Although a family friend has spent months trying to get property management to resolve the issue, the landlord has yet to fix the elevator.

News 12 has reached out to the property manager for a comment and is waiting to hear back.
