An overturned tractor-trailer spilled beer across Route 44 and shut down the roadway for hours in Salisbury.

State police say the crash happened just before 6 a.m. Monday near Twin Lakes Road.

Authorities say the tractor-trailer veered off the road and overturned.

The crash left beer and debris scattered across the area.

Crews spent hours cleaning up the mess and removing the heavily damaged truck and trailer.

The roadway has since reopened to traffic.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
