You can now get classic New Haven-style pizza in Westport.

The new Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana is opening Monday at 11 a.m. on the Post Road in Westport.

The new location in Westport is where the old John’s Best used to be. There is a ribbon cutting this morning at 10:30 a.m.

News 12 Connecticut got a sneak peek inside the Westport location on Friday when they had a soft opening for friends and family. The place was packed.

The taste is amazing.

Pepe's has helped put Connecticut on the map as the Pizza Capital of the United States. Even though there's a Frank Pepe's already in Fairfield and Stamford, Pepe's says people really wanted one here.

"Westport is like, finally Frank Pepe's is here. They wanted Pepe's here. They really did," said Jennifer Bimonte-Kelly, Frank Pepe's granddaughter.

Pepe's now has nine locations in Connecticut, three in Massachusetts and one each in New York, Rhode Island, Florida, Maryland and Virginia.
