Sacred Heart University wrapped its sixth annual Connecticut Esports Showcase on Saturday.
The tournament allows college students from across the state to compete for a chance at the Connecticut Esports Showcase title.
Saturday marked the final day of the tournament.
Students played games including Valorant and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Championship Title. "So esports is an online competitive game, its a little different from sports but it shows our skills in precision and accuracy and our communication skills," said student participant Naomi. Sacred Heart says that the tournament is an opportunity for local schools to show the esports industry's rapid growth.
