The strike began at midnight last Monday after the union overwhelmingly rejected the company's final contract offer.
Union leaders say they're fighting for job security, pensions, and wages that keep up with inflation.
Today, several lawmakers and state officials are expected to visit the picket line.
Those include Rep. Joe Courtney, state Treasurer Erik Russell, and Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
