A former Stratford High School wrestling coach is accused of sexually assaulting a student, police say.
Police say on May 12, a now 20-year-old woman informed officers she was sexually assaulted while she attended the school.
Superintendent Heather Borges tells News 12 that Miron has not been employed by the district since 2023.
In a statement, Borges wrote, "at this time, because this matter remains an active police investigation, Stratford Public Schools is unable to comment on the specifics of the case or personnel matters. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as appropriate. The safety and well-being of our students remains our highest priority."
Following an investigation, Jordan Miron was arrested Monday and charged with sexual assault.
Miron is being held on a $150,000 bond and is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
