A person was taken to a hospital with injuries following a house fire in Weston, fire officials say.

It happened just before 2:10 p.m. Wednesday on Davis Hill Road.

Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. They were able to contain the fire to the basement, where it's believed the fire started.

Officials say the person sustained injuries not considered life-threatening. No one else was reported injured.

It's not clear what caused the fire.
