A full-scale emergency exercise planned for Tweed New Haven Airport has been postponed.
Airport officials say the drill, originally scheduled for today, will now take place on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
No reason has been given for the postponement.
The exercise will simulate an aircraft emergency and will include an Avelo Airlines plane with people acting as passengers.
A large response from fire departments, police agencies, EMS crews and other emergency personnel is expected to participate.
Federal regulations require airports to conduct full-scale emergency exercises every three years to test emergency response plans and coordination among agencies.
