Connecticut farmers impacted by severe weather in 2023 and 2024 can now apply for nearly $53 million in disaster relief funding.

Gov. Ned Lamont announced the funding is available to help farmers recover from losses caused by frost, flooding, hail and drought.

Officials said the program is intended to support agricultural producers who suffered significant weather-related damage during the two-year period.

Applications are now being accepted through the state government website.

Eligible farmers have until Oct. 7 to apply for assistance.
