A man was hospitalized after a reported knife assault in Danbury on Thursday.

Police says they were dispatched to the area of Newtown Road and Old Newtown Road on Thursday for a report of an assault involving a knife.

Officers found a man with an injury to his arm, according to Danbury police.

He was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates the incident may have stemmed from a road rage-type altercation, police said.

Detectives are actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made and police are searching for the person believed to be responsible.
