Del Prete Italian Pastry is back in business after closing due to a fire.

The shop was a local fixture, open for 77 years on Main Street in Bridgeport before a fire last August destroyed the shop.

The bakery relocated to 1234 Huntington Tpke. in Bridgeport, where customers will once again find display cases filled with Italian treats like cannolis, zeppoles and cookies.

The shop is currently in its soft opening phase with a limited menu. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
