People in Greenwich came together to support those battling food insecurity.

Over 2,000 people from the Greenwich Academy packaged 200,000 meals for people facing hunger around the world.

They partnered with the nonprofit Rise Against Hunger.

School staff and others gathered in the gym to pack rice, vegetables and vitamins into bags to be distributed.

Greenwich Academy is also funding a community kitchen, dining space and a clean water well.
