A goose that was stuck in a fishing line at Gould Manor pond Thursday was rescued, Fairfield Animal Control says.
Animal control says the only access to the goose was a fallen tree where the fishing line was tangled.
Officer Stacy Rameor shimmied down the tree, netted the goose, cut the fishing line and pulled it to shore, according to authorities.
An exam showed that the goose had minor lacerations.
The bird was released back into the pond.
