Kristen Santos-Griswold from Fairfield missed out on medals in the 500M women's short track speed skating event at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Thursday.
Her performance in the competition lead her to the semifinals, in which she hit a block inside the ice and was thrown off her balance.
She regained her composure, but was too far behind to catch up and finished fourth only advancing the Final B of the competition.
Griswold then finished fourth in Final B as well and found herself a part of a three-skater crash.
The Fairfield native's next outing is set to take pale on Saturday in which she will skate in the 1000M speed skating event.
