A driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole and came to rest on its side in Westport.
The crash happened around 5:40 p.m. Thursday on Turkey Hill Road. Officials said the vehicle struck and snapped a utility pole, which had to be replaced. The vehicle was not involved in a full rollover but ended up resting on its side.
The road was temporarily closed while crews responded and replaced the damaged pole. No power outages were reported.
The occupant was transported to the hospital as a precaution with minor injuries. Authorities said a possible medical episode may have contributed to the crash, though the cause remains under investigation.
