The moon is coming back to our evening sky this upcoming week as a thin waxing crescent. You’ll be able to catch it along with Venus and Jupiter during the early evenings for a couple of nights.

The moon pairs up with brilliant Venus in the western evening sky right after sunset on Monday night. The pair will appear to cozy up together with only about 2 degrees separating the two celestial objects. Two degrees is about the width of two fingers if you hold them out at arm's length. Be sure to head out early - about an hour after sunset because both will set around 10:30 p.m.

Be sure to head out about the same time the next night, but look a little higher in the sky. You’ll not only find the crescent moon and Venus, but this time Jupiter. The moon will move closer to Jupiter and appear as if it’s between the two planets. Jupiter will be above and Venus below. All three will be located in the constellation Gemini.

The best part is that the weather looks like it will cooperate and give us a clear sky. Temperatures will also be nice and warm in the evenings, so no need to wear a jacket.
