A bicyclist is hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Bridgeport.

Police say the crash happened Monday near Sanford Place and Washington Avenue. Investigators say the bicyclist suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities say the driver involved fled the scene. The bicyclist is reported to be in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
