URSA Roaster Gallery Cafe is more than a place to grab a cup of coffee — it’s an immersive experience rooted in art and community.
Owner Cris Dam says it's a "combination of the great energy and great art that exists in downtown Bridgeport. "
Located in the heart of the city, URSA brings the community together in a space where every detail matters. From the floors to the ceiling, wherever you look, the design reflects a thoughtful blend of great art created by many of the city's diverse artists.
At the center of it all is specialty-grade coffee, sourced from small, family-owned farms and roasted on site.
Master Roaster Mark Munday says, " I love it because people can, you know, try the coffee and then they can talk to me while I'm roasting. They'll say, 'oh, what are your roasting today?' And it's kind of cool having the customer be a part of the process or at least able to see the process.
Barista Brianna Nunez says, "people love to have a nice cup of coffee. And I feel like, you know the design, it just makes it more unique."
That same sense of care extends throughout the space, where guests are made to feel at home.
URSA also offers a breakfast and lunch menu.
In a city often described as the center of Connecticut’s arts scene,
URSA stands out as something rare — a creative hub where coffee, community, and culture intersect.
It’s a place that feels both intimate and inspiring, and a true gem not just for Bridgeport, but for Connecticut as a whole.
URSA Roaster Gallery Cafe is open Monday thru Saturday and is located at 245 Fairfield Avenue.
