Two people are in critical condition and a third is recovering after two separate shootings in Bridgeport on Wednesday night.

The incidents happened around the same time, one on Sheridan Street and the other on Clifford Street.

Bridgeport officials say at least one person was taken into custody after being apprehended on Route 8.
