Police say 45-year-old Ylli Shtopaku, of Monroe, confronted several women he knew outside the main entrance of the Ten Trumbull Apartment complex on Oakview Drive Monday.
After a brief argument, police say Shtopaku retrieved a baseball bat from his car, and struck one of the women who fell to the ground.
“It’s very disturbing to know something like this happened," Christina Rosica says. "I just feel terrible for the family, and I’m so sorry."
Trumbull police says the woman was seriously injured, and several victims were transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for other injuries.
“Shocked and just so disturbed that something like this could happen," Rosica says.
