A child walking home in Danbury refused to get into a suspicious vehicle after police say the driver stopped and told him to “get in.”
The incident happened on Bittersweet Drive and was later reported to police on Monday.
The driver was described as an older white man. The child did not enter the vehicle.
Danbury police are working with Connecticut State Police on the case. Residents can expect an increased police presence in the area.
Police released a photo of the vehicle and are asking anyone who recognizes it or has information about the incident to contact the Danbury Police Department.
Police are also reminding children never to enter a vehicle with someone they do not know and to seek help from a trusted adult if they feel unsafe.
