Stamford police say they peacefully resolved an arrest standoff Tuesday morning.

Officers say the suspect, Jerry Genesis, barricaded himself inside an apartment to avoid arrest from a warrant issued out of New York City.

After a three-hour standoff, the suspect was apprehended with no injuries reported.

Genesis is now being held in Stamford on a fugitive charge, but it is not currently clear what charges he is facing in New York.
