ALERTS
A Flood Watch is in effect from 5 a.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday for Litchfield County
Don't put those umbrellas away just yet! More rain is on the way.
After a nice break from the rain yesterday and mild temperatures in the 70s, showers will return later today. A decent slug of moisture will head our way, and this could result in another 2-3 inches of rain. Watch out for nuisance flooding on the streets and even basements.
With the rain that just fell, the ground is already saturated and it won't take much to see rises on the streams, creeks and rivers again.
The good news is that this rain moves fast and it will be out for the weekend. Beautiful weather arrives just in time for Mother's Day with highs in the lower 70s. It looks even warmer for Monday and this dry weather sticks around for early next week.
