One person was seriously injured after a house fire broke out Sunday afternoon in Weston.

The fire happened just before 3 p.m. at a home on Blue Spruce Circle.

Crews with the Weston Volunteer Fire Department found a burn victim in the driveway after flames broke out in the basement.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the fire department said.
