The next round of rain will move in later tonight and fall during the overnight hours. The heaviest rain will fall just after midnight and continue into the pre-dawn hours on Saturday. Showers will linger through the morning hours before we see some sunny breaks in the afternoon. Those sunny breaks may lead to the development of more rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening hours.
Some storms could have gusty winds and localized heavy downpours. The risk for excessive rainfall is low, but enough could fall to cause nuisance flooding on the roads or poor drainage spots. Use caution while driving after midnight and early Saturday morning.
Temperatures on Saturday will rise to nearly 70 degrees. Drier, breezy and cooler weather develops for Sunday. High temperatures will only reach the upper 60s. Prepare for warmer temperatures with highs in the 80s for next week. Pollen levels will come down further as the weekend starts due to rain. The main culprits are oak, birch and grass.
