Connecticut will receive 1.5 million eggs after a legal settlement resolved allegations that some of the nation's largest egg producers worked together to drive up prices.
The state attorney general and Connecticut Foodshare say three major egg producers illegally coordinated to inflate egg prices.
As part of the settlement, 1.5 million eggs will be distributed across the state.
The eggs will be sent to food pantries, community kitchens and shelters to help families facing food insecurity.
