Metro-North is adding extra trains to help riders enjoy the fall foliage season across the Hudson Valley.

The MTA says six additional weekend "leaf peeper" trains will run through Nov. 8. Three morning trains will travel north toward Beacon and Poughkeepsie, with three afternoon trains returning to Grand Central.

New weekday schedules also take effect Sunday, adding five trains across the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines.

Officials are urging riders to check train schedules before traveling.
