Step into Claude Monet's "Impression, Sunrise" or Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and experience these famous works like never before.
Art historian Fanny Curtat describes it as "an incredible experience where all of these incredible paintings that you might already be familiar with are just swirling around you all over the floor and all over the walls. It's just something that is ironically very hard to describe."
Once inside the exhibit, you have the introduction hall. Monet is on your left, and Van Gogh to your right side. You have two paths where you get to learn a little bit more about each of these artists.
The exhibit is enhanced by quotes from them so you can feel a closeness to what their hearts were like.
Then you get into the immersive space, the infinity room, where giant folded canvases immerse you into this incredible world of hundreds of Van Gogh and Monet's paintings.
Beyond Van Gogh & Beyond Monet is at the CT Convention Center in Hartford through June 29.
